Theological school online at wbs.edu? Another 2018 study on online education conducted by Learning House and Aslanian Market Research confirms the hype about online degree is very real – at least in the USA. According to the study, 86% of online learners considered the value of their degree equal to or greater than the cost they paid to pursue it. Among those who have attended on-campus and online courses, 85% said that online learning is as good as or better than attending courses on campus. In fact, two-thirds of online college students reported that they’d achieved the original goal that motivated them to enrol in their program. Graduate students were more likely than undergraduates to feel that way (76 percent vs. 62 percent).

As you might expect, there are a number of dedicate online tutoring services out there – many of them excellent. Some reputable brick-and-mortar tutoring companies geared toward primary and secondary learners, such as Top Notch Tutoring, have even begun to supplement face-to-face work with online-only services. And many web-based college programs provide complimentary tutoring for enrolled students; these institutions include Walden University, Kaplan University, and Strayer University.

The Certificate in Apologetics is a robust and challenging 1- or 2-year program, which prepares students to engage with a variety of worldviews in defense of orthodox Christianity. This program is for students who want to be able to confidently articulate and defend the Christian worldview in a pluralistic context. The Certificate in Apologetics will help pastors, Christian leaders, and laypeople develop an extensive philosophical and biblical framework to face current moral and philosophical challenges. In a classroom environment, or when finding a face-to-face tutor, it can be hard to find an adult with a real connection with your child. Online, there are more people to choose from, and it greatly increases your chances of finding a tutor who can resonate with your child. Not only does this create camaraderie and trust, but these shared interests can make learning more fun. “I think it’s a great idea for students who need the help and are too scared to ask face to face. This gives them the opportunity to ask without being embarrassed or nervous.” ECU student, WA

Real-time: Using live video technology, students are brought together in a virtual classroom setting at specific class times for lectures and class interactions. Students can participate in any on-campus course via real-time video. Students will be able to watch the professor’s lectures as well as see the other students who are online and in the physical classroom. Online students have the same opportunity to ask questions and engage with the professor as the on-campus students do. Read more information at https://wbs.edu/.
